Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH negotiated with several gardening, landscaping and road construction companies to renew the 10-year-old paving in front of The Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg hotel. The contract was awarded to Dörries Galabau. Within a few days, temporary buildings were erected over the areas to be paved, while the hotel’s operations continued. This was a time of temperature extremes: while the temperature inside the illuminated and ventilated enclosures was +22°C, it was -22°C outside. Fulfilment of the order involved 60-65 workers on seven weekdays from 6 am to 9 pm.
