Dörries Landschaftsbau has been in contact with architects and clients since 1977. Together, we develop outdoor spaces that we enjoy entering, spending time in and returning to. We design the spaces. It is important to us to unite the four elements and bring them into harmony with each other. Buildings need to be embedded in the landscape, in the ensemble where they are located. Every building is, therefore, unique, and needs a distinctive environment that people like to enter and leave again. Dörries Landschaftsbau stands for professionalism, reliability and determination.
Earth
- made of earth, stone, metal and concrete, we combine nature with modernity and bring durability and reliability to our projects.
Water
- is a popular point of reference and relaxation for people in their leisure time and expresses clarity, calm and perseverance. An element that is very popular and is, therefore, often implemented by us.
Fire
- in the figurative sense, fire takes on an equally important role. Because light creates a feeling of energy, power and warmth, which we make use of in our light installations.
Wind
- Lightness, freedom, balance and life are qualities we associate with air and wind. With the targeted use of a wide variety of plantings and open green spaces, we incorporate these into our implementations.
1919
Wilhelm Dörries, grandfather of today's managing director, Gerhard Dörries, returned from the 1st World War. and opened a cemetery nursery / wreath-making business and an ornamental plant nursery.
1957 - 1977
Vegetable farming as a sideline Gerhard Dörries sen.
1977
Business registration by Gerhard Dörries jun. The gardening and landscaping business is established as a sole proprietorship.
1981
Master craftsman's examination - Gerhard Dörries is a master landscape gardener.
1982
The Dörries company is recognised as a training company. The first trainee arrives.
1983
Dörries GaLaBau GmbH is registered as a company.
1984
1. Membership in the professional landscaping association Verband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau Niedersachsen-Bremen e. V.
2. Registration as a road construction company in the Hildesheim Register of Craftsmen.
1985
Jutta Mester starts as a landscape gardener on the construction site.
1987 - 1989
Jutta Mester completes a 2-year technical school programme, specialising in horticulture and landscaping. Since then she has been active in corporate management.
1990
The first assembly site in the Magdeburg area. Since then, construction sites all over the country.
1991
Jutta Mester / Dörries and Gerhard Dörries run the business together to this day.
1992
New building and relocation of the company premises in Kreiensen.
1995
Jutta Dörries becomes an authorised signatory of Dörries GaLaBau GmbH.

... and create technically sophisticated outdoor facilities.
What began as a cemetery nursery and ornamental plant nursery led to the founding of Dörries Landschaftsbau in 1977. In the meantime, we realise a wide range of complex orders nationwide. The focus of our services is 90 % landscaping on construction sites in Germany. Our main task as a general contractor is the implementation of complete open spaces, from technically demanding large-scale projects to green roofs and natural stone paving. We advise and build. For special tasks, we are supported by professional partners.
